This Privacy Policy explains how HookLab ("HookLab", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use the HookLab app and website (the "Service"). HookLab is the data controller for the personal data described here.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your personal data on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to authenticate you, generate scripts, and process purchases); legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service and prevent abuse); legal obligation (to keep transaction and tax records); and consent, where we ask for it (you may withdraw consent at any time).
We share the minimum data necessary with the providers below, who process it on our behalf under their own terms:
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or tracking. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out; if this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide the required mechanism and notice.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights: access to the data we hold about you, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of or objection to certain processing, opt-out of "sale"/"sharing", and withdrawal of consent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise a right, email us from your account email address at omidbeigi23@gmail.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the period required by law. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
You can delete your account and associated data at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. You may also request deletion by emailing us from your account email address. We will delete data we control within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction and tax records held by our payment processor) and except for residual copies that may remain in backups for a limited time before being overwritten. Content you submit for AI processing is handled by our providers (OpenAI / Microsoft Azure) under their own retention terms.
We are based in the United States and use service providers located in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses provided by our processors.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it. Users in the EEA/UK must be at least the age of digital consent in their country (13–16 depending on the country) or have parental consent.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, additional notice.
