HookLab ("HookLab", "we", "us", "our") provides the Service. By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. HookLab provides AI-generated script suggestions for content creators.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.
You must provide accurate sign-in information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
HookLab may offer auto-renewing subscriptions and/or one-time credit purchases. Prices and what each plan includes are shown at the point of purchase and may vary by region. Purchases made on our website are processed by Stripe; purchases made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms.
"Input" means the URLs, topics, instructions, and other material you submit. "Output" means the scripts and suggestions the Service generates for you.
You retain any rights you have in your Input. You grant HookLab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and transmit your Input and Output solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service (including sending Input to our AI processing providers). This license ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for copies retained in backups or as required by law.
As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by law and by our AI providers' terms, you own the Output generated from your Input. We make no representation that Output is original, accurate, or non-infringing, or that it is eligible for copyright or other protection. Because the Service uses generative AI, Output may be similar or identical to output provided to other users. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and clearing Output before using or publishing it, and for ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws and third-party rights. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any video URLs or material you submit.
The Service uses generative AI. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or offensive, and may resemble existing works. Output does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or marketing advice. You are solely responsible for evaluating Output and for anything you publish, distribute, or act upon, and for any consequences that result. Do not rely on Output without independent verification.
Do not use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content, to violate others' rights, to reverse engineer or disrupt the Service, or to abuse, overload, or circumvent its limits.
The Service and all Output are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HookLab disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. HookLab makes no warranty that AI-generated Output will be accurate, reliable, complete, original, non-infringing, or fit for any purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use the Service and any Output at your own risk.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HookLab and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in such cases our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HookLab and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) the Input you submit; (b) any Output or content you publish, distribute, or use; (c) your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right; and (d) your use or misuse of the Service.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or created legal risk. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete Account. Sections relating to Output, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the jurisdiction in which HookLab's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules and excluding the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Arbitration; class-action waiver. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by final and binding arbitration before a single arbitrator administered by a recognized arbitration provider, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and HookLab each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action.
You may opt out of the arbitration provision by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
These Terms are between you and HookLab only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the Service, and any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our responsibility. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Service, including product-liability, consumer-protection, or intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, may enforce these Terms against you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and HookLab regarding the Service. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
